As we begin the second semester, I would like to remind parents, guardians, and students to continue to monitor their academic progress by using Progress Book. It will be very important to begin the second semester with a strong beginning because as the weather gets warmer, it is harder to stay focused on academics.
Along with monitoring academics- "SENIORS" need to complete brag sheets in order to apply for numerous scholarship opportunities. To find more information about scholarships, you can visit our guidance tab on the website or contact Mrs. Erica Thompson, Junior/Senior Guidance Counselor.
Sophomores will be taking the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) the week of March 11-15. In order to help prepare our students and give them an academic boost, we have begun our intervention program that focuses upon the academic standards that possibly would be on the test. If a parent or guardian would like more information they may contact Mr. Eric Coyan, Freshman/Sophomore Guidance Counselor or myself.
Our goal is to complete this second semester with a strong academic performance from our students. Our staff is prepared to continue the strong academic expectations and provide each student a welcoming, safe learning environment in which they can flourish. We want each student to experience success and we believe that by having communication with our parents and guardians, this can have a positive impact on students.
If you should have any questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact us at 740-286-7575.
Go Ironmen and Ironladies!
